After a morning meeting, I need a good lunch before being a tourist in Albuquerque. Mr. Powdrell's bbq was exactly what I wanted. The food was delicious. The staff was friendly. The place is spacious and clean. The cashier even helped me figure out what to eat. Great place for lunch!

We had Mr. Powdrell's cater our wedding and it was absolutely wonderful! They arrived on time and had everything set up early, which the guests loved. We had no problems and as promised, didn't have to worry about a thing! Not to mention how delicious everything was. Thank you Mike and your staff for everything. I will recommend you to everyone! P.S. my favorite is the pork ribs!

Probably the most legit potato salad in the city. It is a southern style potato salad made with some dignity and respect. The black eyed peas were really good as well. The owner was in the building playing the piano and checking with all customers to make sure everything was good. The customer service was great and the restaurant was clean as well. Terrible toddler friendly as well.

It is with mixed emotions that we announce the closure of Mr. Powdrell's BBQ after 60 incredible years of serving our beloved community. Since the beginning we have had the privilege of sharing our passion for authentic barbecue with each and every one of you. Our journey has been filled with countless memories, laughter, and, most importantly, the unwavering support of our loyal customers.

However, as time passes circumstances change, and we must adapt accordingly. After much consideration we have mad the difficult decision to close our doors. This decision was not made lightly, but we believe it is the right step forward for our business and our team. We are eternally grateful for the decades of patronage, friendship, and community that you have bestowed upon us. your support has been the cornerstone of our success, and for that we cannot thank you enough.
