After a morning meeting, I need a good lunch before being a tourist in Albuquerque. Mr. Powdrell's bbq was exactly what I wanted. The food was delicious. The staff was friendly. The place is spacious and clean. The cashier even helped me figure out what to eat. Great place for lunch!

We had Mr. Powdrell's cater our wedding and it was absolutely wonderful! They arrived on time and had everything set up early, which the guests loved. We had no problems and as promised, didn't have to worry about a thing! Not to mention how delicious everything was. Thank you Mike and your staff for everything. I will recommend you to everyone! P.S. my favorite is the pork ribs!

Probably the most legit potato salad in the city. It is a southern style potato salad made with some dignity and respect. The black eyed peas were really good as well. The owner was in the building playing the piano and checking with all customers to make sure everything was good. The customer service was great and the restaurant was clean as well. Terrible toddler friendly as well.

Mr. Pete Powdrell and his partner Catherine brought a tradition of greatness from Louisiana when they decided to settle down in Albuquerque and share the art of smoking meats and great BBQ sauce.  They Brought with them time tried techniques and recipes that were passed on from one generation to the next.  They shared their love for food with their 11 children and from there we have Mr. Powdrells BBQ House. A wonderful BBQ restaurant in Albuquerque.

Throughout the years, the business has expanded to do custom smoking, take out orders, and event catering. With so many different combinations to choose from, you are sure to be satisfied.  Choose your meat to pair with one of the family recipe sauces, and the flavor will take you back to a simpler time, where quality and hospitality were the focus.  There are two locations to serve the best BBQ in Albuquerque
